To assist in the safe and smooth berthing and un-berthing of all types of vessels, Asyad Drydock provides tug/towage services at the shipyard, using tugboats equipped with state-of-the-art technology, as well as extremely experienced crew to perform these tug/towage services in a safe and reliable manner.

The fleet consists of three purpose-built tugboats, each powered by a pair of air-started Niigata 6L26HLX diesel engines; each developing 1800bhp at 750 rpm. The engines drive Niigata ZP-21 azimuth thrusters turning fixed pitch propellers within nozzles to ensure high maneuverability and a strong bollard pull. The rear mounted thrusters are driven by a cardan shaft arrangement, and independently provide full thrust in any direction.
