public service

Our public service offering includes the Oman National Transport Company, the National Ferries Company, the Oman Post Company, and the International Maritime College Oman. These companies provide diverse services aimed at supporting the growth and development of the country.

Mwasalat

The Oman National Transport Company, or Mwasalat, as it is universally known, has been implementing world-class connectivity for Oman's national public transportation sector since our founding in 1972. In addition to our fleet of over 500 owned and leased mini-buses, low-floor buses, and long distance and luxury coaches, we also operate Muscat's public bus network, intercity buses, contract-hire buses for schools and businesses. We are extending our offering with a taxi service that will operate at the airport and at shopping malls as well as offering on-call pick-ups.

International Maritime College Oman (IMCO)

IMCO, located in Sohar Port, is a training institution for the maritime, logistics, and the petro-chemical process industries. We offer diploma and degree courses, as well as short courses and business training, while our specialized vessel and logistics simulators provide practical training to our students – all conducted by expert instructors. Depending on the nature of the course and the required training facilities, programs can be implemented either at our Sohar campus or at a designated location determined by our clients. At IMCO, we have provided trained personnel to both OSC and NFC.

National Ferries Company (NFC)

Since our establishment in 2008, we at NFC have provided safe and efficient seagoing transportation along Oman's 3,165 kilometre coastline. Our fleet of eight modern ferries links Musandam's three ports (Khasab, Lima and Dibba) with Shinas and Muscat. We also provide services connecting the Oman mainland to Masirah Island.
