Primary Materials Management Conference

ASYAD Ports participation in the Primary Materials Management Conference to enhance the trade cooperation between Qatar and Oman which showcased the export & production movement between the two countries.

Under the patronage of Ahmed bin Hassan al Dheeb, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Board Chairman of the Public Authority for Mining, the deliberations of Primary Materials Management Conference began on Wednesday 28/03/2018. 

The two-day conference was organised by Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) in cooperation with Hawkamah, the Institute for Corporate Governance in Qatar and the Omani Center for Business Services ‘Tasaheil.’

The aim of the conference was is to achieve the following results:

1- To strengthen the trade links between the two countries regarding the production and export of raw materials

2 – Create a platform for communication between companies and businessmen in both countries

3 – Increase Qatari investments in the Sultanate of Oman and create the suitable environment to make the Sultanate the primary export destination for Qatar

4 – To come out with recommendations to draw attention to the constraints on the production and export of raw materials of the State of Qatar.
